I am Lalitha Mahadevan, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner & Well-Being Coach

I created Natural and Alive Wellness Centre as safe and nurturing space for people who are ready to move beyond stress, emotional overwhelm and limiting beliefs. My approach blends clinical hypnotherapy with compassionate, whole-person support so you can experience meaningful change in a way that feels grounded, respectful, and personal.

This path began under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Dr. Paul McKenna, a famous hypnotherapist, whose expertise supported me in mastering advanced hypnotherapy techniques, and Dr. Richard Bandler the founder of NLP, (Neuro Linguistic program) whose teachings have profoundly shaped my path as NLP Practitioner and as a Total Well-Being Coach through well renowned Deepak Chopra Foundation.

    In hypnotherapy, change does not begin with force or willpower. It begins with experience. The subconscious mind learns through imagery, emotion, and repetition. During a session, you are guided to vividly experience responses that may currently feel out of reach — calm instead of anxiety, clarity instead of overwhelm, confidence instead of hesitation.

    The mind does not fully distinguish between a deeply imagined experience and a real one. When a new response is rehearsed in a relaxed, focused state, the nervous system starts accepting it as familiar and safe. What once felt impossible gradually becomes available, and behavior begins to follow naturally.

    This is the purpose of therapeutic visualization: you experience the change internally first, so it can occur externally without struggle.

  • Hypnosis can be described as “attention with intention.”
    Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and focused attention through guided visualization, which has the potential to address a variety of issues, such as pain, depression, anxiety, and phobias. The process of inducing hypnosis typically begins guiding the individual through verbal cues, repetition, and imagery to create a state of deep focus and relaxation. 
    Hypnosis is because of the highly focused attention, the dissociation and the cognitive flexibility allows you to do that more quickly and more effectively.

    Hypnotic language is embedded within our communication; so whilst the listener is focussed consciously on what you are saying, the embedded message goes straight through to their subconscious mind. Hypnotic states are created naturally by the brain. 

  • Somebody once said, Think of an obstacle in the road as a signpost rather than a wall. Think of it as something that will teach you how to manage your situation better.
    Unlike traditional talk therapy, hypnotherapy works by directly communicating with the subconscious mind. This powerful part of our brain holds our beliefs, memories, and deeply ingrained patterns of behavior. By accessing this level, we can identify and address the root causes of many issues that contribute to emotional distress and self-sabotage.
    The process typically begins with a comfortable and relaxed state, often induced through guided imagery and relaxation techniques. The therapist then uses suggestive language to help the client access specific memories, beliefs, or emotions that are contributing to their challenges. This allows for the reprogramming of limiting beliefs and the installation of more positive and empowering thoughts and behaviours.

  • Hypnosis has been surrounded by various myths and misconceptions, largely perpetuated by popular media and misunderstandings. 
    First,
    Loss of Control: One of the most prevalent myths is that individuals under hypnosis lose control of their actions and can be made to do things against their will. In reality, people under hypnosis remain aware and in control of their actions. They cannot be forced to do something they find morally or ethically objectionable. 
    Second,
    Mind Control: Hypnosis is often erroneously associated with mind control. It’s important to note that hypnosis relies on the cooperation and willingness of the person being hypnotized. A hypnotized individual cannot be made to act against their values or beliefs.
